The Fit for the Future consultation and revised Industrial Strategy emphasise localised solutions to complex challenges, while the creation of the Social Impact Investment Advisory Group by HM Treasury demonstrates clear public sector commitment to partnering with impact capital in delivering the government's missions.
This momentum creates a pivotal moment for the place-based impact investment movement. However, a critical gap remains: local government often lacks the awareness and capacity needed to effectively channel impact capital toward their most pressing challenges.
