STRENGTHENING OUR FOUNDATIONS - Commissioners' Conference 2017

We would like to invite you to join us for an exciting day at Kents Hill Park Training & Conference Centre on 11 March 2017. The purpose of the day is to look forward to a successful 2017 and to enthuse and inspire you in your roles.

We strongly value the role undertaken by Commissioners at all levels to ensure we are Being Our Best. This day gives us an opportunity to:

• thank you,
• offer you support and training,
• have the chance to share ideas and challenges with others from across Girlguiding Anglia.

What? Through a series of workshops this action packed conference is aimed as a thank you to all Commissioners whilst also aiming to boost and develop leadership skills and link in with the theme of membership growth and retention.

You will also have the opportunity to visit Marketplace stalls to gain extra tools and ideas to take back to your Districts and Divisions.

The objective of the day is to provide opportunities for you to:

• develop your own knowledge and skills to feel empowered to make a difference
• build links and friendships with other Commissioners from across Girlguiding Anglia
• find out more about growing and developing your Leaders
• contribute your ideas and feed into the Girlguiding Anglia plans for membership growth and retention
• take back new ideas to share with your teams
• enjoy a delicious lunch and take home a goodybag!

If so, then this day is for you!

There is also the option of staying at the venue on the night of Friday 10th March for dinner, bed and breakfast. Arrive from 6pm to enjoy a chance to get to know fellow Commissioners during a relaxed evening which will include the option of joining in with some fun and enjoyable sessions; you could even learn a new skill!

When? Saturday 11 March 2017, arrival from 9am. The day will start at 9.30am and finish at approximately 4.15pm. Friday 10 March 2017, arrival from 6pm for those wishing to stay overnight.

Who is it for? All Commissioners, Commissioner Designates or those with a Division/District Leadership role. We would like to encourage you to come with fellow Commissioners from your Division/County.

Cost? There is no charge for the Saturday.

There is a charge of £35 to stay on Friday night, which includes dinner, bed & breakfast.
