The discussion will focus on approaches to raising standards in the tax advice market:

• how the approach of mandatory membership of a recognised professional body that supervises their members’ standards could work
• which groups of tax practitioners should be in scope or excluded from the proposed options
• how the government can make it quicker and easier for tax advisers to register with HMRC
