Join us in Birmingham on Monday 19th May 2025 for what promises to be a fun, enriching and thought-provoking day.

STRENGTHENING THE ROOTS

Exploring equality, diversity, equity and inclusion in grassroots perinatal mental health

In this incredible sector, we thrive on human connection. No matter where we are in the country (or world!), we have a collective aspiration to make sure nobody with perinatal mental health challenges is left to suffer alone.

This heartfelt aspiration drives us to get serious about inclusivity. Whether it’s in our practice, policy, strategy or at a systemic level, we all want to do the best we can when it comes to embracing the needs of all families. And that means we must continually open our hearts and minds to learning.

‘Strengthening the Roots’ will not only bring you some of that learning, but it will also stimulate new thoughts and create space for change-making ideas. With thought-leaders from the sector ready to speak, learn and grow with you, the whole day will value warmth and safety as much as knowledge and progression.

Join us - and a whole group of peers you haven’t even met yet - for a fantastic day of networking, collaborating and conversation about how we might encourage, embed and nourish a more inclusive sector.

What you might like to know . . .

‘Strengthening the Roots’ is free to attend and includes refreshments and lunch. When you complete the registration form, please ensure you include any dietary requirements.

Tickets are free but spaces are limited due to capacity, so if you sign up and then realise you're unable to join us, please do let us know or request a refund so we can reallocate tickets.

We recognise that the cost of travel may be a barrier for some VCSE organisations, so we have a capped travel bursary for any services who would like to apply for a contribution to costs. Please do contact us separately about this.

It’s important to us that the event is accessible and comfortable for everybody so there is space on our booking form for you to tell us about any physical or accessibility needs you want to share.

If you have a baby then you are welcome to bring them along, though in the interest of safety this is limited to babes in arms rather than mobile little people!
