Strengthening voluntary sector engagement in the Integrated Care System (ICS) in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (CIoS).

About this event

Please join us for an exciting and inspiring in-person event where you will hear why it’s important for us to strengthen our voluntary sector engagement with the Integrated Care System (ICS) and collaborate to improve the health of our population in Cornwall and help to tackle health inequality.

The event will be chaired by Sasha Karakusevic (NHS Horizons) who will provide insight and commentary.

At this event you will learn from system leaders representing:

• Health (Kate Shields – CEO of ICS)

• Public Health (Rachel Wigglesworth – Director)

• Community is the Best Medicine (TBC)

• VCSE (Helen Ball – CEO of Cornwall VSF).

They will explain why the VCSE is critical in the effort to improve population health and wellbeing and help tackle health inequality. There will be opportunities to engage in debates, 'speed date' across the system, participate in master classes and enjoy some delicious food.

There will be round table discussions on topics pertinent to health and care where you can contribute your insight, expertise and recommend improvements to the way people are cared for and supported within our communities in CIoS.

Throughout the day Cornwall VSF will gather and document your ideas and recommendations, showcase the work of the VCSE and capture first-hand from you what works, what has to change and how you can contribute.

Tickets for this free, informative and inspiring event are available on a first-come first-served basis. If you don’t want to miss out, please book now and reserve your place. There will be a waiting list for those unable to secure tickets.

Earlier this year we commissioned a report exploring the structure, dynamics and impact of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This research was funded by Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group (KCCG).
