🌱 Ask Rooted: Group Advice for Charities & CICs

Practical insight, key considerations & open Q&A for grassroots leaders

If you’re running – or planning to set up – a charity or Community Interest Company (CIC), this interactive online session will give you a clearer picture of what’s involved and the opportunity to get tailored guidance from experts who work in the sector every day.

We’ll start with a short introduction to Rooted Community Assets CIC and the services we offer, followed by a few key considerations for running a charity or CIC. The main focus will be on an open Q&A, where you can ask the questions most relevant to your organisation.

About the Facilitators

Rooted Community Assets CIC is committed to empowering grassroots charities and CICs with the tools for independence and sustainability. They provide expert guidance in areas such as charity and CIC formation, policy development, fundraising strategy, governance, and impact measurement.

The team are all actively working in the charity sector across different areas – including fundraising, communications, strategy, and trusteeship – and collaborate with charity consultants to provide specialist support in HR, digital, finance, and more. The guidance shared comes directly from lived, current experience, meaning you’ll hear what has worked in practice (and what hasn’t) so you can walk away with real, actionable insight.

Rooted Community Assets also connects members with partners, resources, regular fundraising round-ups, and wellbeing events to help nurture growth, resilience, and long-term impact.
