A 60 Minute Session with Raphael Jay Adjani and Jane Belshaw

The GP Care Group are pleased to invite all employees and member practices a short workshop on Stress Relief and Relaxation techniques

Take some time for yourself, a little pause. 13 seconds to 10 minutes: that’s all you need to begin to unwind, calm down and bring soothing ease into your life. Utilising proven scientific methods, our 60 minute session offers 5 practical things that you can use any time for stress relief: everyday techniques to help you find some warmth, relaxation, and tender loving care.

Regularly using these 5 techniques – each taking no more than 10 minutes - can help you recharge the batteries, discover your feel good factor, and better deal with the stresses of your day. 10 Minutes is all it could take.

Why the green zone?

The green zone title is used for a number of reasons. It is the name astronomers give to the areas in solar systems between stars and planets, anywhere in the Universe, where life has the potential to exist. Our Earth is in the green zone. The green zone also refers, around the world, to geographic areas of low pollution, eco-friendliness and sustainable, healthy living. The green zone relates as well to psychologist Paul Gilbert’s colour-coded three emotional regulation systems in which humans could be said to operate. Red stands for the ‘threat' system where we focus on dangers. Blue designates ‘drive', where we work towards achievement or competition. Green signifies ‘soothing': the nurturing of feelings of safeness and connectedness. We need to live in a harmonious balance of all three emotional regulation systems.

Stress Relief in under 10 Minutes helps cultivate a personal green zone of sustainable self-care: fostering practices that enable us to better cope with stresses of modern living and to build contentment.
