To balance mind and body, improving well-being. Session will help to increase flexibility, strength and balance.

About this event

This Ageing Well class will be taken by experienced yoga teacher Anne Bond.

Ageing Well classes are suitable for people over 60 who are actively able and can move independently.

This is a gentle, chair-based yoga class, combining movement with the breath. It balances the mind and the body, improving well-being and will help to increase flexibility, strength and balance. You will need a sturdy chair, ideally straight-backed and armless, a yoga block or large book, plus a tie/belt/or feraband.

Please note that you MUST have completed a simple health and safety questionnaire before you can book this class. If you havn't already done so, a link to to this can be found under the "resources" section here or on the Age UK Somerset website.

After booking and making your donation, you will receive an email with your link to the class on the day. A suggested donation of £4 per class is requested - we are really grateful for your financial support at this time!

Organiser Ageing Well - Age UK Somerset

Organiser of Stretch and Flex, chair-based yoga session - with Anne Bond

Ageing Well is a programme managed by Age UK Somerset and it is dedicated to improving the health and well being of older adults. It organises events, activities and exercise sessions in both Somerset and North Somerset.

Prior to the Corona pandemic, classes were held in local venues but with physical distancing now a necessity, a team of instructors are holding regular, weekly classes online. There are a variety of classes to choose from, including Tai Chi, yoga, strength and balance and general fitness sessions, but, for health and safety reasons, these are ONLY available to existing Ageing Well participants.
