Nationally recognised artists Matthew Lane Sanderson and Rachel Wood of www.sanderson-sculpture.com will lead you through this unique and engaging way to create an art piece that will be treasured for years to come.

In this hands-on session with Matthew and Rachel, you’ll learn all the steps involved; the graphic theory, forming the outlines with hammer and nails, colour theory, projection & obviously weaving the strings. The fine thread is woven in either; an ordered geometrical pattern or randomly twirled around nails to form a chaotic mesh-work, ie; you can be a stickler or a stick breaker!

This is a class for all ages and all abilities. Anyone can make string art. You do not need to be the ‘crafty type’! The challenges are those brought by your own imagination and so this initially simple technique can delight and challenge all.

All necessary tools and materials will be provided and you’ll take away with a finished and original piece of artwork for your home.
