on October the 29th all across the world action against stroke is taken during World Stroke Day #wsd16
In conjunction with this, albeit a day earlier, a stroke information and awareness day for people affected by stroke or for those supporting stroke survivors will be hosted for the 1st time in Swansea.
A carefully selected programme of speakers incorporating the Stroke Association, health professionals, stroke survivors and their carers will provide information and education relating to stroke.
A small selection of information stands relevant to life after stroke will be available for information, advice and support.
Nurses from the local health board will be in attendance to offer health checks and relevant health promotion information and a panel of health professionals will host a question and answer session.
A buffet lunch will be provided thanks to two local support groups (Three crosses stroke club & Neath Port Talbot Stroke Group) - donations appreciated.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is difficult here. Thankfully we have been offered use of the car park at Parklands Church, Maes y Gollen, Sketty, Swansea, SA2 8HQ. Spaces are limited though. So, If possible please share transport.
