Event description

Description

Jane Austen wrote in the 1800s, PL Travers wrote in the 1900s, and Helen Fielding wrote in the 2000's. Each writer experienced their different yet similar challenges facing women (and writers) today. This talk by Amber Raney-Kincade looks at a key heroine of each writer and offers a comparative discussion. Amber the American Tour Guide has researched Emma, Mary Poppins and Bridget Jones for her walks, and has found the similarities to be fascinating! Join this evening's talk in celebration of World Book Day and International Women's Day.

Amber Raney-Kincade splits her year between tour guiding and marketing consultant. She is a qualified guide in the City of London, Westminster and Camden.
