About this event

School Activities • After School Care

School life can be incredibly rewarding, but it can sometimes feel overwhelming. Between heavy workloads, navigating relationships with students, parents and colleagues, and the emotional demands of the role, our own needs may be pushed aside, taking a toll on our mental health.

We’ll talk about some of the pressures of working in primary and secondary schools, and share approaches to help manage stress, prevent burnout, and handle conflict in a healthy way.

Psychotherapist and former teacher Osian Leader will share insights from psychological theory, his experience in schools, and his work supporting education professionals to shine a light on why these challenges can feel so overpowering and what we can do to look after ourselves and others when things are tough.

This session can count towards your Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and we’re happy to provide a certificate after the session if you'd like one.
