Description

Social Dream Matrix

A series of three events on 14th & 28th November and 12th December from 7 - 9 pm.

A social dreaming matrix is a place to come together to share dreams and associations and then to attempt to make a bridge from the dreamtime to the world of reality, work and consciousness.

The process is focused on the social and the collective potentials of the dreams which are brought to the matrix by the participants - the focus is on the dream and not the dreamer.

It is a creative act which stimulates further creativity and can lead us towards recognising what we have previously known but been unable to think.

A Social Dream Matrix consists of the dream matrix where the participants narrate their dreams and offer their reflections and associations. This is followed by a brief dream reflection dialogue where some time is given to reflect upon what has been brought.

No previous experience or knowledge of this work is required simply a desire to participate.

Hosted by:

Nick Smith - Stroud based psychoanalytic psychotherapist.

Dr Ray Brown - Psychoanalytical psychotherapist and psychiatrist working in Bristol.

Mehrnaz Shahabi - Psychosocial researcher and political activist

The hope of the hosts is that the social dreaming matrix will be continued in blocks for a year or more. - the cost of the first series of 3 sessions is £30 total (£20 concs), ideally participants will attend all 3 events so that each matrix can develop and inform what has gone before.
