StructurAI Engineering
Overview
AI, Artificial Intelligence, is one of the hottest topics of the present time. Will it revolutionise our work? Will it take all our jobs? Is it just hype or have we been using it for years without realising it?
Join Professor Peter Debney, structural engineering computing expert at Arup and author of the IStructE technical guide Computational Engineering, to see what AI is, what it might be, and how we might use it.
Peter Debney is a Chartered Structural Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers, with over 40 years’ experience in engineering and software. He has an honours degree in civil engineering from the University of Surrey and a diploma in computing from the Open University. At Arup he is the Oasys Software Customer Service and Onboarding lead, is a Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey, and a former Royal Academy of Engineering visiting professor at the University of Bradford. He is also the visiting expert in finite element analysis at CROSS-UK.
