Event description
Lincoln’s Inn offers prospective students tours to give them the chance to find out more about our facilities and membership benefits.

About this event

During the tour you will see the Education facilities, MCR restaurant and Bar, the Old Hall, the Great Hall, the Chapel, the Library, and the grounds*. Tours are for potential members of the Inn and not the general public. They will cover information relating to becoming a Barrister.

With group tours, we can accommodate up to five people so as not to disturb members and staff using the Inn’s facilities. Each tour lasts for approximately forty-five minutes. Please be aware that part of the tour is outside and dress accordingly.

When you arrive at the Inn please go to the Terrace outside the Members' restaurant and Bar. A map can be found below. If you are uncertain where to go please enquire at the Gatehouse.

Please allow plenty of time to find us; If you are 10 minutes or more late for your tour your booking will no longer be eligible and you will have to book for another time.

Important: We politely request tour attendees wear a face covering during the inside parts of the tour unless medically exempt.

(*Due to these areas being working parts of the Inn, some areas may be inaccessible on certain dates due to previously confirmed events or maintenance).

Lincoln's Inn is one of the four Inns of Court. The Inns of Court have played a fundamental role in preparing students for Call to the Bar and their progress to professional competence as barristers for many centuries.  With that role at its heart, it is nonetheless a very multifarious organisation: a collegiate and educational institution, a membership organisation, a professional body, a landlord, a custodian of historic buildings, a banqueting venue and a tourist attraction.
