If you want to work independently and have some prior experience, you can hire space and have use of the wheel, work bench, small tools, and have your work fired. For occasional or intermittent use you can book and pay per slot. For more regular use our membership includes up to 8 sessions per month. Please see the membership page for details. Studio hire needs to be booked up to 18 hours before each session.

This service is aimed at keen amateurs who would like the use of studio space and equipment; for handbuilding, press moulding or wheel throwing. Basic materials are provided, and some technical support if needed. Firing (stoneware and earthenware) is done for you but only for work made at the studio (we don't offer a separate firing service for work made elsewhere).This service is untutored, and you will need to have attended a course/training previously (this doesn’t have to have been with us) and have basic skills with clay as a minimum.  We also offer individual tuition if you need it, see website for details. Temporary shelf space is available for work in progress and small tools/glazes etc. 

If you haven't been to the studio before, please email before booking to discuss your requirements and to arrange a studio visit to make sure it is the right service for you.

The communal areas areas are being regularly cleaned by the landlord, and there is hand santiser at various points.

Masks should be worn coming in and out of the building.

We will be cleaning the studio as much as we can, and there will be limited numbers in at one time. The space will be rearranged so there is enough room. 

Please wash your hands before coming into the space, bring your own apron and towel (and take them with you when you leave) and if you have them, bring your own small tools. 

Cancel if not coming with as much notice as possible so we can offer it to someone else.

The kitchen will be for the building residents only for the time being.

And it goes without saying if you’re ill don’t come in..! 

Allow approx 10 mins before the end of each session for clean up.
