Event description
Take part in a taster lecture delivered by one of our current students on a topic related to their degree with our Subject Matters series.

About this event

Experience a taste of undergraduate and postgraduate study with our Subject Matters lecture series. During these sessions you’ll take part in a taster lecture delivered by one of our current students on a topic related to their degree. After the lecture there’ll also be time for a lively discussion and debate with fellow students.

The modern world of architecture is challenging, complicated and beautiful. Working in a studio will see you face a variety of obstacles, including those concerning the environment and social issues. Such challenges result in creative thinking and innovation – you’ll often find that the more people that are involved in a problem means the more solutions that are brought to the table. Your thoughts and decisions become embedded in the architecture you create – and what you create changes the world around you.

This event will be of interest to prospective undergraduate students who are considering studying, or have a passion for, architecture.

This student-led session is hosted by Andrew, a second-year student on our Architecture BA (Hons) degree.

During the event you will:

  • uncover the challenges you’ll face as an architecture student
  • learn about the way in which architecture addresses worldwide issues such as the environment and understand how these challenges become opportunities
  • explore your place in the world of architecture
  • find out how London Met will support you on your journey to a degree in architecture

Book your place now - we can’t wait to meet you!
