Subjective wellbeing is our personal view at how happy we are with our lot in life; it’s our self-reported level of life satisfaction. This module takes a look at how philosophers and psychologists have tried to underpin what it is that makes us happy. We will look at theories of happiness that will not only make you take a good look at how you live, but also give you some strategies and tips on which areas need to be developed to increase wellbeing.
Making positive change leads us into understand how our attitude, or mindset, plays a huge part in our subjective wellbeing, which in turn impacts upon our behaviours. A 'dive' into what may be holding us back will reveal further areas to develop and help us to find ‘blind spots’, these are the things that may not know about ourselves and are pivotal to self-development and self-improvement.
What to expect if you've never been before.
Our class based workshops are a relaxed way to find out more about how to improve your overall wellbeing. You will not be expected to speak up if you do not wish to, you can just turn up, grab a coffee, and listen in.
