Subsurface Laser Scanning & Multi Beam Sonar surveys of voids, mines and shafts

Presentation to the Institute of Mining & Mechanical Engineers – North-East Region

Mark Hudson, Managing Director, Geoterra will be giving an evening presentation on recent developments in the subsurface laser scanning and multibeam sonar survey of voids, mines and shafts and their deliverables for global geohazards.

Recent case studies will be used to demonstrate the techniques and deliverables, including gypsum mine voids, Thornegate, Cumbria, Gypsum mine collapse, Drumgossatt, Co Monaghan, Carlisle, limestone/coal mine voids, Edinburgh, lead mine voids, Ecton Mine, Staffordshire and chalk mine voids, Pinner Wood School, Harrow.

In 2010,Markwas awarded the CICES President’s Medal in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the professional body.
