Success in Year 6- Session 1

Using the Success in Year 6 programme, Martin Henson and Ben Piperno will host a 2.5-hour webinar designed to support Year 5 and Year 6 teachers in strengthening practice and improving pupil outcomes ahead of the Year 6 SATs period. The session is built to support teachers working in similar contexts, offering a collaborative and reassuring space to reflect, build confidence and focus on what will make the biggest difference in the classroom.

The webinar will focus on being well organised and planned for the months ahead, alongside key principles of assessment across maths, reading and writing. Participants will explore how to make the most of assessment information, consider access arrangements, and prepare effectively for SATs week. Throughout the session, teachers will be supported with practical, classroom-ready strategies that can be implemented immediately, helping to target support where it is most needed and maximise impact for pupils.
