This session will provide you with the tools needed to network with confidence when attending academic conferences including:

  • How to approach other delegates and attendees
  • How to communicate effectively and with confidence
  • What to consider when in face to face communications
  • Explaining your research and background clearly and building rapport
  • Interdisciplinary conversations
  • Responding to questions and managing conversations
  • How to make the most of your interactions and maintain useful connections
  • Opportunities to practice the networking skills you have learned
