Sue Parkinson: Recovery Through Activity
Sue Parkinson - "Recovery Through Activity"
Wednesday October 5th - 5.30pm, Robert Winston Building, Collegiate cresent - Sheffield Hallam University
Sue Parkinson qualified as an occupational therapist in 1987 and is the lead author of the Model of Human Occupation Screening Tool (MOHOST). She is passionate about occupation-focused, evidence-based, theory-driven practice and currently works as a freelance trainer, providing workshops in the application of MOHO.
SHOUT met Sue last year at one her workshops and found it a really rewarding experience, we learnt so much over the 2 days that we asked Sue if could come along and speak at one of our events. Sue will be talking about her latest book 'Recovery through Activity' which is a fab resource to support the development and running of groups within mental health settings. Here is a link to last years blog to highlight our experience and a bit more about the book: http://shoutshu.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/shout-meet-sue-parkinson-september-21st.html
This is going to be such a special talk, and would urge you to book now to avoid disapointment. Remember, all attendees will receive a certificate for their CPD and refreshments will be provided in the Robert Winston café area from 5.30 - with the talk beginning at 6pm. We charge £2 for students and BAOT members and £3 for everyone else which we collect on the night.
We really look forward to seeing you all!
