How old must you be to take part?

All swimmers must be aged 18 or over.

I’m not a strong swimmer, can I still participate?

We highly recommend that only those who are confident with swimming participate in this event.

Question 3

Are children allowed at the event?

Accepted Answer

Children are allowed to attend and watch but must be supervised at all times. Children are not permitted to enter the lake.

Question 4

Can I rent a wetsuit on the day?

There will be wetsuits available to rent on the day, but please note that there is a limited supply available and these will be given on a first come first come basis.

Can I buy a swim hat on the day?

Yes you can, but please note that there is a limited supply available. We strongly recommend that you bring your own swim hat with you.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket or is showing the email on my smartphone/tablet ok?

There is no need to bring a printed ticket. Your email or e-ticket on your device is fine.

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is free parking on site.

Will refreshments be available?

There will be hot drinks and light refreshments available.

Can I bring my own wetsuit?

Yes, bring your own wetsuit with you as there are limited wetsuits to rent on the day.

Do I need to fundraise?

We ask that our participants try to raise as much possible and raise at least £75. Once registered, we will email you some guidance about how to set up a fundraising page.

Do I need a tow float?

Accepted Answer

We strongly recommend that participants use a tow float and those who are experienced open water swimmers choose to swim without one.
