Join us for our annual Mike Stripe Memorial Weekend - A celebration of driving, discovery, and friendship.

Reconnect with old Lotus friends and make new ones at one of the Lotus Drivers Club’s most anticipated events of the year. Hosted by Club Area Organisers David Wenman and Stuart Wohlman, this unforgettable weekend promises adventure, great company, and the very best of Suffolk and the North Essex Uplands.

Our accommodation for the weekend has a wealth of facilities, including a spa and golf course. The Club will have dedicated parking, private dining and a choice of lovely rooms.

Explore charming villages, medieval towns, and the timeless landscapes that inspired John Constable. Enjoy fresh, local food in the region widely known as the foodie county - from cosy pubs to excellent restaurants and cafés.

With carefully planned driving routes and pre-arranged attractions, you can simply relax and enjoy the journey. Take the weekend at your own pace: stay with the group or head off on a solo adventure. Expect flowing, technical B-roads, rolling countryside, rivers, and postcard-worthy scenery throughout.

This cherished event is held in memory of Mike Stripe, former Chairman of the Lotus Drivers Club, and includes our traditional charity raffle in his honour.

Arriving on Friday? Take advantage of spa access, discounted treatments, or a round of golf before joining the group. Each evening we’ll dine together in our own private room, and Saturday and Sunday feature the main driving days, complete with morning briefings. Monday is departure day - unless you choose to stay longer and soak up even more of the area.

If you live in the local area or prefer to make your own hotel arrangements, you are, of course, free to do so. We can make arrangements so that you can join us for dinner on each night, if required.

To confirm your place and to help us administer numbers, please complete the registration information. The event registration is for those wishing to join the event. We also welcome members who wish to join for sections or particular days, but ask that you contact us at s.wohlman@lotusdriversclub.org.uk before registering.

Event registration is charged per person. Once registered, you will be contacted by the event organising team to confirm accommodation and dining details and updates before the event. Please follow the club on social media and regularly check the website for updates on this and all of our events.

All road runs associated with this event are classified as a social run as defined by MotorSport UK. There is no competitive element. The route offered is a suggestion. You are free to follow whatever route you wish. It is incumbent upon each individual taking part in the run to ensure they comply with all aspects of the road traffic laws at all times. If you get separated from your group at any time, ‘waypoints’ are provided for the next official stop point so you can catch up at your own pace.
