Join the MRC LMS in a Wikipedia edit-a-thon to update the pages of past Suffrage Science awardees for the scheme's tenth anniversary.
About this event
The Suffrage Science awards, founded by the MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences (LMS) in 2011, celebrates women in science for their outstanding scientific research, communication work, and support of women in STEM. The Suffrage Science family is now 148 strong, with a further 12 joining on Monday 8th March, 2021, on what will be the tenth anniversary of the scheme.
As part of the activities for the milestone year, the incredible Dr Jess Wade and Dr Maryam Zaringhalam will be leading a Wikipedia edit-a-thon to help you create and edit the pages of past awardees, with the overall aim of expanding the encyclopaedia of scientists on the internet.
This is a drop-in event, so if you’re an experienced editor then feel free to join after the introductory talks, or if you can only spare an hour then do join us and continue your editing at a later date.
