About this event

Community • City & Town

In 1918, The Representation of the People Act was passed, granting the vote to some women. What part did the militant Suffragettes, led by Emmeline Pankhurst; play in bringing this about?

This walk will feature imposing architecture as well as visits to quiet back streets in Westminster to discover the stories of the women involved in the struggle to gain the vote, their opponents and supporters. Our 90 minutes will see us follow in the footsteps of those daring and sometimes controversial figures.
