The Birth Story of the Prophet of Islam!

About this Event

The newly formed Sufi Cultural Society is open to everyone who is interested in the Spiritual and Mystical aspect of Islam, anyone can join regardless of faith, religion etc. and we intend to bring you this through performances from artists, musicians and speakers from a variety of backgrounds!

Join us for our first ever event where the narration of the Birth of the Prophet of Islam will be told by an immersive Storyteller and mesmerising Musicians!

The Mawlid (Annual celebration of the birthday & life of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh*) is one of the highlights of the year for those following the Spiritual Path of Islam and we encourage everyone to join us in these celebrations!

The history of this celebration goes back to the early days of Islam when Muslims held gatherings in which poetry and songs were composed and recited to honour The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh*) and sung to the crowds. The Ottomans declared it an official holiday in 1588 and most Islamic countries hold it as a national day of celebration.

Featuring: Jumana Moon and Abdessalam accompanied by an Oud Player.

This event is FREE & open to all who come in peace, refreshments will be provided

Please book a ticket so we can anticipate expected attendee numbers, and please kindly return if you are no longer able to make it as soon as possible.

*(PBUH - Peace be Upon Him)
