Enthusiastic volunteers are needed to champion healthy eating and become Sugar Smart Ambassadors in and around Tower Hamlets Borough.

This training is aimed for individuals working with, or for Sugar Smart Tower Hamlets target "participant" organisations (early years, schools, communities across the borough to provide them with the knowledge and skills to promote Sugar Smart messages and activites as Sugar Smart Ambassadors.

The aims of the training are to:

1. Undersrand what it is to be a Sugar Smart Ambassador in Tower Hamlets

2. Learn the key messagess of the campaign 3. Find out where to get resources 4. Explore what actions each Ambassador can take 5. Make links with others championing Sugar Smart

Tower Hamlets Council is looking for people with a passion to encourage realistic and healthier eating habits and spread the word.

Ambassadors are needed to champion Sugar Smart in businesses, schools, or community organisations and help support colleagues, neighbours and friends to adopt healthier eating habits.

The role could include talking to local organisations to encourage them to be Sugar Smart, running Sugar Smart events or raising awareness of the impact of excessive sugar consumption in the local community, for example, using social media.

A free Sugar Smart Ambassador training session is being held:
