Date and time
Location
Online event
On average, one person dies by suicide every 90 minutes in the UK. We can all gain the skills to make a difference, and keep people safe.
About this event
This training is being provided for free and has been fully funded by Somerset Council and is only available to those living and working in Somerset.
Places are limited and we would ask that organisations / departments only book two places on each course. These courses will be offered throughout the year.
The course is fully funded and therefore free to attend but failure to attend may result in your organisation being charged.
This 3.5hr online training session is aimed at anyone who wants to understand more about suicide, how to know when someone may be having thoughts of suicide, how to talk directly and comfortably about suicide, and what we can all do to offer practical support.
Around 1 in 5 of us will have thoughts of suicide during our lifetime. It is a common response to stressful and overwhelming life events.
