The South East London Suicide Bereavement Service invite anyone who has lost a sibling to suicide to join this unique opportunity to connect with other people in a similar situation.
This is an experience of loss like no other, and we want you to know that you're not alone. People have told us that they would value the opportunity to connect with other siblings who understand this particular grief.
Anyone who has lost a sibling of any age, either to suicide or suspected suicide, is very welcome, and you can attend with someone you know.
What to expect
This will be a structured morning led by members of our team, with facilitated activities as well as relaxed opportunities to talk and connect with other attendees. We have planned the morning in sections to give opportunities to learn from the team, reflect on your experience, share if you wish to, and get to know other attendees.
You can expect a warm welcome from our team and individual support available throughout the morning for those who need it. Noone will be made to speak or share if they do not feel comfortable to.
The morning will involve hearing other people's experiences of loss and grief, so it is worth considering whether you feel ready for hearing this.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
