Suicide Prevention Scotland are running two webinars on online harms and suicide prevention.

Session one (this session) will look at the Online Safety Act and Social Media. To book a place please click "Reserve a spot" on the right hand side of the screen.

The first half of this session will be delivered by Stefan Webster, Martha Kirby and Helene Nyegaard-Larsen from Ofcom who will present on the Online Safety Act, giving an introduction to the Act itself and Ofcom’s role as regulator and talking about how suicide prevention is covered by the Act.

The second half will be delivered by Dr Rachel Harris, Research and Development Manager from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Rachel will present on "Social Media: its use and impact on mental health and wellbeing among young people - findings from the literature, with a focus on self-harm and suicidality".

Presentations will last around 30 minutes each and will be followed by a Q&A session.
