Following on from a very successful foray into the world of cinema with the showing of “I, Daniel Blake”, St Vincent Sixth Form College are proud to announce the launch of its independent cinema project, providing a mix of film experiences to the people of Gosport.
Since the closure of The Ritz Cinema in 1999 the people of Gosport has not have the opportunity to visit a local cinema. To take in the recent blockbuster now requires a long and costly journey to Portsmouth or Fareham. Also available for this initial showing will be special tickets including a drink and popcorn for £7 Adults and £5 children/student. We will provide a full refreshment stand to complete the cinematic experience as well as free parking.
The first film shown will be the Tom Hanks Oscar nominated blockbuster Sully (12A) scheduled for 11th May. This Clint Eastwood directed movie tells the story of Chesley Sullenberger, an American pilot who became a hero after landing his damaged plane on the Hudson River in order to save the flight's passengers and crew.
