We will introduce you to Bamboo-brushes and our teacher will demonstrate the different brushworks with Sumi ink.

We will be running this session on a regular basis, each session will have a different topic or theme, each time you will paint something different and learn varying painting styles and techniques.

Our teacher will introduce the different topics every time, you don't need to worry if it will be repeat if you joined us before.

We will bring a selection of references of Sumi ink paintings from Japan and China for you to practice, our teacher will demonstrate a variety of different brush works and painting techniques and guide you on how to take on your own creative challenge!

Whether you're an aspiring artist looking for a new challenge or you've always wanted to learn how to paint, you'll love this creative workshop experience.

This workshop is located in a spacious cafe in Manchester's Northern Quarter. Delicious drinks and cakes are available to purchase.

Knowledge required

• Beginner friendly - all levels welcome.

Materials (all provided)

• Sumi ink and Japanese/Chinese paint on rice paper.
