Event Details

The Mathematics Teacher Network aims to give maths teachers from primary and secondary schools across England the opportunity to engage in a long-term professional learning network.

Teachers will have the opportunity to come together and learn from each other and hear from external experts.

The MTN events are free to attend.

MTN is a collaboration between La Salle Education, AQA and Oxford University Press - together, these organisations fund and coordinate the events so that teachers can benefit from high quality professional development without eating into their subject budget.

Where possible, events are held in a volunteer host school, again helping to ensure MTN events are free of charge.

The summer terms events give teachers the opportunity to network and share good ideas with each other, with plenty of discussion time throughout the day.

Problem Solving - Andrew Taylor

Andrew will explore some problems for use in the maths classroom and consider the impact on teaching and learning as well as thinking about how assessment can arise from problem solving tasks.

Organiser

La Salle Education

La Salle Education is the mathematics education company.

We are building the UK's largest network of maths teachers so that no teacher is without support and advice when they need it.

Our events bring together more maths teachers than any other provider, meaning delegates have access to a vast range of expertise and practical advice.

Our company consists of leading experts in mathematics teaching and learning, having been responsible for some of the major reforms in education in both the UK and overseas.

We believe that the key to improvement is to understand the entire process from teaching, learning, assessing and development.  This is why our approach 'Complete Mathematics' provides an environment for each of these phases.
