During your visit you can explore Liverpool Cathedral, a Grade I architectural wonder and the largest cathedral in the UK and fifth largest in the world. There will be a short performance by the Cathedral Choir to enjoy at 15:00 at each event.

Please note that this event is socially distanced. We advise you to pre-book tickets to avoid disappointment, but there will also be a limited number of walk-up tickets available for each timeslot during the day. The last visitor entrance at each event is 15:45

Support Us

  • Like many other organisations in the city and beyond, we face an uncertain future. Liverpool Cathedral has lost nearly all of its income over recent months, so your donations are especially needed and welcome to help keep entry to Liverpool Cathedral free to visitors. It will help preserve your heritage for generations to come.
  • You can donate when you visit us with cash or on our portable contactless consoles.
  • Find out more about how you can support us on our Donation website pages.
  • Did you know, when you buy something from our Cathedral Shop, you’ll be supporting us too?

Thank you for your generosity.

Before the Summer Arts Market

  • If you are unable to attend or your party size has decreased, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible through your Eventbrite account.
  • If you’re feeling unwell, in a high-risk category, self-isolating or if you or anyone you’ve been in contact with has symptoms of coronavirus, please stay at home and cancel your ticket.

  • Your attendance means a lot to us. If you change your mind, or you can’t join us please request a refund through your Eventbrite account up to 24 hours before the start of the event. You can also transfer your ticket to a friend or loved one. This will help us run a successful event and prevent no-shows, so we really appreciate it!

What you need to do when you attend the Summer Arts Market

  • Please do not arrive more than five minutes before your ticket time.
  • The additional health and safety measures we’ve put in place means it may take you a little longer than usual to access the Cathedral, so please be patient, kind and responsible.
  • You may need to queue outside our building. Please make sure you're prepared for the British weather!
  • Before you come into the Cathedral we will check your booking and take your temperature.
  • You’ll only be able to come into the Summer Arts Market if you have booked your tickets.
  • Sanitise your hands on your way into the Cathedral.
  • Please wear a face-covering at all times, unless you are medically exempt.
  • Once you’re inside the Cathedral a member of our staff will explain the one-way system. Please follow the route to keep yourself and others safe.
  • Please keep to government guidelines on social distancing. Currently, you cannot meet or mix with anyone outside your household in an indoor setting and maximum group size is dictated by the number of people in your household. You can check the most up to date guidance here.
  • You can visit our café and shop during your visit.
  • Our toilet facilities will be open but they are limited. We’ve had to change each toilet block into a single one person/family group toilet facility to make sure you are physically apart from other visitors. This does mean that you may have to queue so please be patient, kind and responsible.
  • You’ll need to sanitise your hands before going into and on your way out of the toilet facilities to reduce the spread of coronavirus. Please be patient, kind and responsible.
  • You’ll need to allow 60-90 minutes or so for your visit. Once you have finished your visit, please leave the Cathedral, so that we can let other visitors in to enjoy the event too.
  • Limited onsite parking is available. Pay at the machine stations in the car park with cash or card before you leave.

Need more information about what we’re doing to keep you safe when you visit us? See the FAQs section on the Visiting Us page which are updated regularly to reflect the current government guidance.

Please note - if for any reason we need to cancel this event or if you are unable to attend, you will be refunded the price of your ticket minus the Eventbrite booking fee.
