Join us as a team player in Adventist Youth Ireland summer camp and enhance your volunteer experience by working for the youth summer camp.
About this event
The primary responsibility of a volunteer for the summer camp is overall supervision. We will be responsible for campers’ safety and well-being and for creating a safe, fun, and rewarding environment.
You will be required to coordinate, conduct, and supervise all recreational activities for children and young teenagers during their stay at camp.
During the day there will be several activities like games, adventure games, and outings in Athlone with the youth. Therefore, depending on your area of interest, you may also be placed as a leader or team member; to assist campers of all ages in one or more activities.
Worship will be the highlight of the evenings in the summer camp. Volunteers will be required to assist the campers in the worshipping centre and look after them during the service. Also, there will be tent checking in the evening.
AS A VOLUNTEER IN SUMMER CAMP WHO WILL BE WORKING FOR YOUTH UNDER 18 "YOU MUST BE GARDA VETTED AND HOLD CHILDREN'S LEVEL 1 BASIC CERTIFICATE". But if you don't have them both, don't worry we will help you to have them for free.
FYI: FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION WILL BE FREE FOR VOLUNTEERS.
