We will be at Gomms all day, so join us for Green Thursday or stay the whole day! We're carrying out our summer cut so there will be plenty of raking to be carried out, along with litter picking. Everybody welcome!

Transport & Address

We will be working in the Cinema Field at Gomm's Wood. We will meet on site at 10am and finish at approximately 3.30pm. We will meet on Herbert Road Service Road, by the 5 bar vehicle gate next to Ash Hill Primary School. Free parking is available on Herbert Road. The nearest postcode is: HP13 7HW.

The Task

We'll be continuing our summer cut so there will be plenty of raking to be carried out, along with litter picking. Everybody welcome!

Timings (please note these timings are approximate):

10.00: Arrival for safety briefing, please don't be late!

10.15: Work begins

11.30: Tea & coffee break

13.00: Lunch Break - please bring your own

15.30: Work finishes, time to go home!

What to bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.

Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. Ideally we recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.

Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. You may need a hat and suncream if it's sunny.

Please bring a packed lunch plenty of fluids. And if you really want too who doesn't like a packet of currant buns or jam donuts to be shared with the team?

We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.

Please note:

Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.

Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.
