About this event

Delivery of Summer Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme in Walsall.

We are excited that the government announced the expansion of it’s tried and tested Holiday Activities and Food programme across all local authorities.

This programme is aiming to provide healthy food and enriching activities during the summer holidays to children who are aged between 5 to 16 years old and receive benefits-related free school meals (14,000 children in Walsall)

. It will offer valuable support to families on lower incomes, giving them the opportunity to access rewarding and active activities alongside healthy meals during the school holidays.

What does National research tells us that;

• School holidays can be pressure points for some families because of increased costs and reduced incomes.
