Question 1

What are the course timings?

Each actual course is 10am - 5:30pm. On Tuesday registration starts 9am. At 9:30 Chris Stenton, Chief Executive of People Dancing, will welcome everyone in studio 1. On Tuesday, there is an evening reception at 5.30pm, followed by a demonstration lecture by Linden Dance Company.

What should I wear?

We want you to be as comfortable as possible and be able to move/dance in practical sessions so please dress in a manner appropriate to the courses you are attending. No outdoor shoes are permitted in the studios, so be prepared to work barefoot of bring alternative footwear.

What should I bring?

Notepad/pen/device to be able to take notes, a water bottle that closes to be able to take into the studio (no glass!), please bring your own lunch (no nuts), some courses will have specific requests, so keep an eye on your emails closer to July.

Will refreshments be available?

Accepted Answer

Tea, coffee and water will be provided all day. Lunch is not provided, so please bring this with you. Alternatively, there are a lot of local food outlets within the campus. It is slightly further into the town to find somewhere else to eat.

How far is it from the train station?

Accepted Answer

It is approximately 10-15 minutes on foot/using a wheelchair/mobility aid. There are cabs at the station however, the journey by road is awkward and takes 10 minutes, depending on traffic.  If you need a cab to the door of the PACE building this can be arranged with us.

How far is it from the coach station?

Accepted Answer

It is approximately 15-20 minutes on foot/using a wheelchair/mobility aid. There are a few cabs at the coach station, however the journey by road is awkward and takes 10 minutes, depending on traffic. If you need a cab to the door of the PACE building this can be arranged with us.

What if I have access needs?

Accepted Answer

There will be various quiet spaces available should you need to take a break, rest, use your laptop or have some reflective time.
