Summer Networking Event
Our 2nd annual summer networking event - an interactive personal and professional development event focussed on building the strategic capabilities, influence and contribution of HR&D.
The event will be an excellent opportunity to:
- exchange ideas over lunch with HR&D practitioners
- attend two seminars on topics that interest you
- get the most current employment law insights at a Q&A panel event!
This event will be of interest for any CIPD member:
- CIPD Members – a non-refundable £10 booking fee will be charged at booking* please bring your membership card with you for registration
- Non-Members are welcome to attend – a non-refundable £50 booking fee will be charged at booking
*Due to high levels of non-attendance at events, and the subsequent impact on Branch funds, we are implementing a nominal booking fee. Following your feedback, we are also making tickets available for your guests or other non-members at a non-subsidised rate.

Sharon Benson is the Group HR Director of Acorn Care and Education. MCIPD Qualified, she is a HR Professional with a wealth of experience gained across Professional Services, Construction.
Pharmaceuticals, Financial Services and most recently the Care & Education sector. Sharon has significant experience of working with business leaders and operating at board level to manage high profile and complex change and transformation programmes, develop employee value propositions and deliver outstanding, effective HR solutions linked to successful delivery and achievement of ambitious growth plans.
Sharon will talk about how important HR is within organisations and how to make an impact from both a personal and a HR perspective.
In this session Sharon will discuss her experiences and focus on;
