Summer of AI for Young Innovators

Learn to harness artificial intelligence and build apps to solve real-world problems.

Digital Camp is hosting a fully flexible, online Summer of AI programme to ignite the next generation of innovators, technologists and changemakers. No coding experience required!

Join us for a series of weekly hands-on workshops and expert mentorship for 5- 7 hours per week to turn AI ideas into impact:

  • discover new AI technologies and tools,
  • learn to code and design apps
  • build real-world projects with AI, and
  • pitch your project to professionals and academics
  • compete for an opportunity to join a special AI/ML scholarship programme at University of Oxford / Said Business School this summer (Aug 10-23).

All workshops and sessions are recorded so you won't miss a thing!

  • AI for Everyone: Learn to code with AI. Dive into no-code and low-code AI tools with Dominik Lukes, Oxford University’s Lead Technologist for AI and machine learning, and learn to build your first functional app in just two hours.
  • AI + Sustainability: Join mentoring sessions with Michael Jones, award-winning sustainability innovation educator, to refine your prototypes and master AI best practices.
  • Learn Python, the most widely used language in the AI and machine learning community, to support your project development in an interactive adventure-building challenge from Chris Noring, AI + JS expert and Senior Cloud Advocate at Microsoft.
  • Innovator Projects: Build a project of your choice with personalised coaching with technology specialists to troubleshoot your project and fast-track your progress

Learn founder-tested frameworks to develop and refine your project ideas and learn how to turn them into real world projects and businesses. Conduct peer reviews and pitch your idea to a panel of experts then present your summer project to technology and sustainability experts from Microsoft and other leading organisations, secure real-world feedback, and prepare for future work placements.

  • Learn to Code with AI Workshop. An introduction to AI for non-coders by Dominik Lukes, AI & ML Lead Technologist from University of Oxford. Learn how to code with freely available tools online. (Recorded session with online instructions). These will be supported by live weekly mentoring.
  • Build Apps with AI Workshop. Guidance on how to use AI tools to start coding functional apps and how to use Large Language Models. Led by Dominik Lukes, AI & ML Lead Technologist from University of Oxford. Learn how to code with freely available tools online. (Recorded session with online instructions). These will be supported by live weekly mentoring.
  • Weekly Workshops and Project Mentorship. Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays @ 8:00-9:00am, 12:00-1:00pm or 5:00-6:00pm BST. Workshops to learn design thinking and entrepreneurship skills to create powerful solutions that tackle climate change, implementing the latest in AI technologies. Create a compelling value proposition, Go To Market Plan, pitch and video story for your project.
  • Learn Python in a Space Adventure! Weekly sessions to play and learn while build foundations in coding with Python on Fridays @ 12:00-1:00pm. Embark on an urgent space mission aboard Ark-04, where you’re the last hope to reprogram the ship’s AI - learning Python one puzzle at a time to restore life support, navigate cosmic hazards and set course for Proxima Centauri. Dive into an immersive, interactive story that transforms coding challenges into thrilling space-survival adventures! No previous coding experience required.
  • Work Experience: Prepare for and gain work experience opportunities. Pitch your project to a panel of professionals and get feedback and guidance on how to ace your pitch.

The full programme is available for either:
