Event description
Celebrate Summer in style with a concert of operatic arias on the theme of LOVE from our talented singers & savour some fine Italian wines!

About this event

For our June 16th concert, we have a stunning line-up of talnet, offering a wide range of voices and roles: Francesca Matta (soprano), Emily Kyte and Giulia Laudano (Mezzo Sopranos), Roberto Abate (tenor) - plus guest singers Patrick Keefe (baritone) & Jack Roberts (tenor) - accompanied by Caroline Jaya-Ratnam on the piano.

Attendees can be assured that GS Wines take the safety and security of our performers and audience very seriously. The measures will all comply with government guidelines to ensure Covid-19 security for all guests, performers and staff. (See reference to guidelines below) [Please see our 'Updates' section for news on Covid-19 security measures and on updates about our event.]

Francesca Matta, a highly-acclaimed soprano who performs internationally and Roberto Abate, a powerful- rich-voiced tenor will be joined by emerging talent, mezzo-sopranos - Emily Kyte and Giulia Laudano , baritone Patrick Keefe and tenor Jack Roberts. They will draw you into a fantastical world of love and romance with their glorious voices and superb technique as they perform arias from the greatest operas and much-loved songs - including great soprano and dramatic tenor arias, accompanied on the Blüthner baby Grand Piano by highly accomplished collaborative pianist Caroline Jaya-Ratnam.

It will be an exciting programme, packed with sensuous arias: our creative team has already shortlisted arias operas by Mozart, Puccini, Verdi and Handel, plus lieder by Mahler – lots more to be included! (As the programme is being finalised, we may be able to bring in other guest singers - and if so, details will be updated below).

We will of course also be serving some delicious Italian wines, including chilled white, and sparkling wines - in anticipation of a HOT summer!

See performers' bios below.
