Event description

Description

The golden ratio is something which has intrigued mathematicians, artists and more for over 2000 years, and can be found all around us in plants, art and buildings. But what is it, and what does it mean? Join Natalya Silcott to explore this fascinating number, and create your own piece of art using it as a basis.

Please note:

Please note, this workshop is strictly for 7–9 year-olds. There will be a short break during the workshop and a drink and a small snack will be provided. Students should bring their own snack if they have any allergies

The Mathematics Summer School workshops are based on Ri Mathematics Masterclasses. Students who have attended a Masterclass series which included a session on a similar topic may have already seen some of the content in this workshop. Please contact us on summerschools@ri.ac.uk with any questions.

Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (14 calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
