Summer Schools: Coding for the Web
Event Information
Description
Computer programs control our phones, our traffic systems, our televisions and our games. In this workshop, students will get to grips with Khan Academy to explore some existing computer programs and will get started with developing their very own, with expert guidance from David Nutting.
Khan Academy is an easy introduction to JavaScript, a very powerful programming language used across the internet, and is an ideal place to begin programming.
Please note:This workshop is strictly for 10–12 year-olds and is aimed at those with little or no experience of computer coding.
There will be a short break during the workshop and a drink and a small snack will be provided. Students should bring their own snack if they have any allergies
Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (fourteen calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions
