Description

Jacqueline Currie is a former aeronautical engineer and the founder of Curiosity Hub. This workshop is based on her experiences in the aerospace industry, including her work on the world-record breaking flight of a solar-powered unmanned aerial vehicle, plus current and future uses of robotics, and advice on STEM/STEAM education and career paths. Activities include space exploration challenges using Lego Mindstorms robotics kits, exploring computer programming and the engineering cycle, showcasing students' own creativity and problem-solving skills.

Please note:

Please note, this workshop is strictly for 10–12 year-olds and is aimed at those with little or no experience of computer coding. There will be a short break during the workshop and a drink and a small snack will be provided. Students should bring their own snack if they have any allergies.

Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (14 calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
