Summer Schools: Networks (age 10–12)
Thu 27 July 2017, 14:00 – 16:30 BST
In this workshop with John Robinson, students will take a trip back in time to the 18th century, meeting Euler the mathematician and taking a walk around the city of Konigsberg. The journey will continue as network theory is explored, a branch of mathematics that Euler himself first developed. Questions such as how does a postman avoid travelling down the same street twice will be answered through exciting hands on activities.
Please note: This workshop is strictly for 10–12 year-olds. There will be a short break during the workshop and a drink and a small snack will be provided. Students should bring their own snack if they have any allergies
The Mathematics Summer School workshops are based on Ri Mathematics Masterclasses. Students who have attended a Masterclass series which included a session on a similar topic may have already seen some of the content in this workshop. Please contact us on email@example.com with any questions.
Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (fourteen calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
