Summer Schools: Probability and game shows (age 10–12)
Fri 28 July 2017, 14:00 – 16:30 BST
Can mathematics help you to win a TV game show? In this workshop with Mike Fletcher, students will explore this idea, and see if mathematics and probability theory can be used to significantly increase your chances of winning certain game shows, and test their theories using real clips from TV.
Please note: This workshop is strictly for 10–12 year-olds. There will be a short break during the workshop and a drink and a small snack will be provided. Students should bring their own snack if they have any allergies
The Mathematics Summer School workshops are based on Ri Mathematics Masterclasses. Students who have attended a Masterclass series which included a session on a similar topic may have already seen some of the content in this workshop. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (fourteen calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
