Summer Schools: Programming in C# for Beginners (age 13–15)
Fri 25 August 2017, 10:30 – 15:30 BST
Mathematicians have been using computers for over half a century to provide answers to problems which require an enormous number of calculations, great accuracy and reliability. In this workshop with Paul Hall, aimed at those students with no previous experience of C#, students will explore how computers can be used to do mathematics as they learn how to program simple games and take a nuts-and-bolts approach to solving a variety of problems.
This workshop is strictly for 13–15 year-olds and is aimed at those with no experience of computer programming. Students will be using freely available programs throughout the workshop. The workshop will include a 45 minute supervised lunch break. Students will not be able to leave the building at lunch time unless permission is given at the time of booking.
Students should bring lunch and a drink, pens, pencils and a USB drive if they wish to take their work home.
Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (fourteen calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
