Event description

Description

The computer program has revolutionised the films we watch, the way we communicate and the way we solve problems. In this workshop, students will use Blockly to explore computational thinking in a fun and friendly graphical environment. Working with David Nutting, they will use puzzles, mazes and turtles to get creative and have a go at solving some problems using a computer program.

Please note: This workshop is strictly for 1012 year-oldsand is aimed at those with little or no experience of computer coding. Students will be using the freely available program Blockly. They are welcome to bring USB memory sticks to save their programs.

There will be a short break during the workshop and a drink and a small snack will be provided. Students should bring their own snack if they have any allergies
