Summer Schools: ScratchMaths (age 7–9)
Mon 14 August 2017, 10:30 – 12:45 BST
Maths can sometimes be a little tricky to understand, so what if we could use a different language to explore and learn it? What if there was another way to look at maths to make it even more fun and accessible? In this workshop with Monique Darrell, students will use computers and the coding language Scratch to explore important mathematical ideas through learning to programme. No previous experience of coding required.
Please note, this workshop is strictly for 7–9 year-olds and is aimed at those with little or no experience of computer coding.
There will be a short break during the workshop and a drink and a small snack will be provided. Students should bring their own snack if they have any allergies. They should also bring pens, pencils and a calculator.
Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (fourteen calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
